Getting Ready for Halloween!

I thought it'd be suitable to start bringing out the Halloween toys and decor this week and try to do some holiday related activities all week. Today I broke into the holiday novelties that my grandmother sends for every holiday. I have a love hate relationship with these goodie bags that I receive from her EVERY holiday. She just might be Oriental Trading Co.'s biggest spender and we now get four goodie bags (being an adult does not exempt us from getting the bags) every holiday. But, Halloween wouldn't be Halloween with out a Jack-O-Lantern whoopie cushion, wax Dracula teeth, and ghosts, spiders, and Frankenstein temporary tattoos.
 We had creepy witch fingers!
The witch fingers made their way onto our toes, too.

We had fun with an assortment of grabbers- Jack-O-Lantern, Frankenstein, mummy head, Dracula. Mo is using Frankenstein to pick up witch fingers, much coordination was needed!
Lo found uses for the witch fingers that the others didn't think of...
I filled a wine bottle (I tried various plastic containers but the glass was the easiest to see through so there was constant adult supervision, no bonking each other on the head with a glass bottle!) with rice, lentils, and orzo and tossed in a handful of creepy crawly glow-in-the-dark bugs. The kids had to roll the bottle to uncover all sorts of bugs. It was really entertaining!

Note- the bottle was corked really really well!

Tomorrow we are off to the library for the Halloween party so Brian is hard at work getting the boys costumes ready, I best go help!
