Friday

We had rainy weather on Friday so we busied ourselves indoors. Yoga class was lovely, each class lasts a little longer than the previous as their attention and interest in yoga grows! We did some work sorting colors which finding colorful trinkets to use in our activity was just as fun as the activity!
Mo to Ez, "That's not where green goes!"

We worked with some of our Melissa and Doug learning materials one of which was the shapes/colors boards. The littles love this activity!

We made lunch together, the littles mixed their eggs for making french toast, sausage links, and cheesy scrambled eggs. There is just something about eating breakfast foods when its raining out, yum. Well, I could eat breakfast foods anytime of any day! Mother Nature always has such a huge affect on the littles, despite the blackout curtains for napping. If its sunny and warm I have a difficult time even bringing up the word "nap". Rain and chilly winds and they sleep the day away, so that is how our day ended!

Wintery Weather Continues!

I feel conflicted on my opinions about the weather. I am super happy that we can go play without coats and scarves but I am bothered that it is early February and a bee was buzzing around me outside today! Perhaps Phil the groundhog's prediction means our wintery days are just around the corner?

We celebrated today by coloring groundhog printouts and making a pop-up groundhog to take outside and see his shadow.

We played with our lady friends while enjoying the beautiful day-
Come here! I want to hug you!

Tail feathers, three in a row :)
The kids LOVE the chickens but Lo takes the most interest and joy in them, its adorable!

We also started working on our Valentine's Day decor. We have a couple hearts hanging in the window and the pictures don't quite show how beautiful they look with the light beaming through!

Step1- Shave some crayons (preferably ones that are already broken). Step2- Put shavings in wax paper and either fold the paper over or layer with another sheet of wax paper. Step3- Run a clothes iron over the wax paper and watch your shavings melt! Tip, use a low heat setting and prepare for it to melt quicker with smaller shavings (yeah, common sense but I was surprised at how quick it melted after one swipe over with the iron). Step4- Cut out whatever shape you desire and glue a string on to hang!

Lastly a photo of the little's plant. They are taking wonderful care of their flowers, but our kitties think it is a tasty treat for them so I have to remember to put the plant out of kitty reach at the end of the day!

Tomorrow is Friday, yoga class in the morning!
